Manali is named after the Sanatant lawgiver Manu. The name Manali is regarded as the derivative of Manu-Alaya (transl. ‘the abode of Manu’). In Hindu cosmology, Manu is believed to have stepped off his ark in Manali to recreate human life after a great flood had deluged the world. The Kullu Valley in which Manali is situated is often referred to as the “Valley of the
Gods”. An old village in the town has an ancient temple dedicated to the sage Manu.
A gift of the Himalayas to the world, Manali is a beautiful township nestled in the picturesque Beas River valley. It is a rustic enclave known for its cool climate and snow-capped mountains, offering respite to tourists escaping scorching heat of the plains. The tourism industry in Manali started booming only in the early 20th century, mainly because of its natural bounties and salubrious climate.
About Treks
Chanderkhani Pass is a pass located in the Kullu District of India at a height of 3,660 metres. It forms a way (pass) between the villages of Rumsu and Pulag to the well known village of Malana, which indirectly forms a trekking route from Naggar to Malana across the Chanderkhani Pass. Bhrigu Lake is a lake located at an elevation of around 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located to the east of Rohtang Pass and is around 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from Gulaba village. It can be reached by trekking either from the Vashishth temple, which is famous for its hot water springs, close to the town of Manali. Actually there is no settle- ment in Gulaba and is an area of the Pir Panjal mountain range. It is named after Maharishi Bhrigu.
Rani Sui Lake is at an elevation of 11,154 ft. It is one of the very few high-alti- tude treks in the valley of Kullu. Many pretty wildflowers bloom on the vast pastures and surround the lake, making it appear no less than a paradise. It is a lesser-known trek of the region.

After breakfast will depart for our starting point of Ranisui Lake (April to Mid May)/ Bhrigu Lake (Mid May to July). After reaching there we will start our trek towards Advance Camp. Overnight Stay at Advance Camp.
