About MATHERAN (NO VEHICLE HILL STATIONS)

Matheran is a hill station, near Mumbai, in the west Indian state of Maharashtra. It’s known for its mild climate and well-preserved colonial architecture. Motor vehicles are banned and many visitors arrive by narrow-gauge railway on the 1907 Neral– Matheran Toy Train. The Panorama Point lookout offers views across the mountains of the Western Ghats. Louisa Point has views of waterfalls and the ancient Prabal Fort.
This small and vehicle free hill stationof India, can take you back in 18th century.
It is located at 90km from Mumbai and 120 km Pune. One will have to walk around 15-20 minutes into dense wood and red muddy trail to reach at any view point.

Day : 2
Arrival: 06.15, At Dadar, Mumbai
– Transfer from mumbai to Neral/Matheran by road (3 Hours)
– Breakfast on route
– Arrival at Matheran Hotel Check-In, Fresh-Up, Lunch
– Take a dive in Swimming Pool
– Matheran Sightseeing circuit Eco Point, Charlotte Lake, Edward Point, Cecil
Point, Water fall (Revert Waterfall during rain)
– Matheran Market
Day : 3
Early Breakfast
– Garbett Plateau Trek/Peb Fort Trek (5-6 hours)
– Late Lunch at Hotel
– Free time to Rest, explore around, swimming pool, nearby view point
– Dinner
– Music, Garba , Group activities
– Night Walk/Jungle Hike to nearby view point
Day : 4
Morning Breakfast and Check out Hotel
– Experience Heritage Toy Train (3 kms ride) on self
– Reach to Matheran Parking
– Toy Train Trek till Ganesh Statues of matheran/Kadyavarch Ganpati
carved from single boulder (Trek 4 kms easy walk)
– Transfer and drop to Mumbai by evening Return Train (If a group or anyone want
to plan their return journey to mumbai early, we can help with this)

Arrival: 01.30 am To Surat
Arrival: 03.30 am to Vadodara
Arrival: 05.50 am to Ahmedabad
Note :
• Matheran has no motor vehicle transportation, one has to travel by walk only.
• You can hire horse on your own.
• Also consider it is a backpacking and Trekking trip. Though our stay + food facilities
will not be less then leisure. One has to be prepared for long walks during the trip.
• Strictly avoid trolley bags
